Baxter Research Medical
CNC spring coiling was vertically integrated within a medical wire-reinforced
catheter manufacturing area. Two turnkey coiling systems were provided to manufacture
approximately thirty-five production parts. Complete Cassette Tooling and automated
packaging were provided for the entire family of parts. |

Donaldson Company
An AIM CNC Coiling System was integrated within a large automated filter assembly
line. Three springs were tooled, programmed and setup using cassette tooling.
In addition to supporting production, additional springs are periodically made
to support lower volume production. |

Xerox
Four custom machines were designed and built to produce auger coils used in toner
cartridges. The coils were originally manufactured with a two piece construction
requiring several secondary bend and fasten operations. The machines support
high volume assembly lines. |

Ebsco Spring
AIM introduced the first CNC Coiler at Ebsco Spring. Productivity and part quality
exceed expectations and continues to impress them. Feedback from the operator
indicated that the controls software and programming are superior to other
competitors equipment. |

Lucent Technologies
A flat wire inductor coil was initially produced using a labor intense, costly
method that involved blanking a piece coated strip, rolling the shape and tinning
the ends. Through a development effort with our companies, the part is now
produced complete, in one automated production process. Round insulated inductor
wire is processed with stripped ends, body coiling and the legs bent at 90
degrees. The design telescopes on itself in the assembly to maximize the amount
of wire within the inductor housing. |

Neway Anchorlock
An AIM Coiler was vertically integrated into a tractor trailer brake manufacturing
facility in Monterey, Mexico. Several parts were setup using Cassette Tooling.
The manufacturing system included a CNC Spring Coiler, powered wire dereeler,
wire straightener and stress relief oven. |

 |
Tyden Seal
An AIM Coiler was placed into production to support a high volume production
line. An in line stress relief was developed for the application. The coiler
has run continuously for over 10 years without a single service issue. |
